We manage a family-owned villa. We use it for family holidays and list it on Airbnb and Booking.com the rest of the year. We built Datelock because nothing on the market protects a calendar that a whole family shares.

Keeping Airbnb, Booking.com and family stays aligned is a constant job. Every booking and every blocked date has to be watched to avoid a clash — while still filling the season.
A full PMS was not the answer.
We looked at property-management systems. For a single villa the setup cost outweighs the benefit, and none of them is built for the problem we actually had.
Shared access needs a safer rule.
Most systems use all-or-nothing permissions: anyone who can block a date can release someone else's. In Datelock, a hold belongs to the person who set it — and the host keeps override on all of them.
